Telephone counselling:
All eligible personnel have direct, unlimited and confidential access to 24-hour multilingual, toll-free EAP services in a choice of nine languages. The helpline number is exclusive to each client and the service is staffed by a team of fully qualified, trained and registered professionals including psychologists, social workers and legal professionals. An experienced Clinical Service Management team oversees the entire helpline operation with the assistance of call-center performance management software. All helpline professionals are closely supervised and attend a regular training programme to ensure continuing skills development.
Email Counseling:
All eligible employees also have 24-hour access to a counselling email address, where experienced counselors respond to email enquiries within a minimum response time of 24 hours and a maximum response time of 48 hours.
Face-to-face counselling:
Those individuals requiring face-to-face counselling will be referred to ICAS network of counselors. Fully qualified, trained and registered psychologists provide the services. Currently ICAS has a National Network of 120 professionals including psychologists, social workers, and medical doctors. These professionals are independently contracted affiliates who have undergone a rigorous selection process and are well equipped to manage the problems and challenges confronting client employees and their families. When referrals are made to ICAS counselors, employees will be contacted by the consulting psychologist within 24 hours of referral. The first consultation will take place within 7 days of referral. In the event of a critical incident, trauma or a flagged emergency, the consultation will take place within 48 hours of initial contact (or sooner in the last few instances).
